Mississippi College Yearbook - 2025

As Assistant Editor of The Tribesman, Mississippi College’s official yearbook, I helped lead the production of a full-color, 200+ page publication that documents the student experience throughout the academic year.

My role included:
• Creative Direction: Contributed to theme development (“While We’re Here”), focusing on authenticity, soft color palettes, and a tone that captures the beauty of everyday college moments.
• Design & Layout: Collaborated with the editorial team to design page templates, curate section headers, and create visual elements like hourglass-inspired page numbers and soft-themed graphic accents.
• Editing & Organization: Assisted in reviewing spreads for visual consistency, tone, and typographic clarity while managing deadlines and providing feedback to section editors.
• Team Leadership: Helped onboard new staff, coordinated with photographers, and supported editors with design tools and best practices using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.

This role sharpened my editorial eye, strengthened my skills in team collaboration, and deepened my ability to tell visual stories that are both personal and polished.
